Brownrigg is registered to provide care to adults with learning disabilities, who may present past or present mental health disorders. A key worker system is in place with each member of staff overseeing the care of a particular service user, and individual care and development programs are devised to cater to each individual, encouraging each person to fulfil their potential.
Brownrigg is a beautifully situated residential care home with mature grounds and is registered for up to 6 service users with learning disabilities with past or present mental health disorders. Brownrigg is located in the village of Copthorne, which is off the main A264, which runs from Crawley to East Grinstead. Copthorne has a GP surgery and local shops, including a post office, hairdressers, florists and several convenience stores. Public transport can be accessed from the village to both Crawley and East Grinstead.
East Grinstead has many places of interest and is surrounded by unspoiled countryside and magnificent views. East Grinstead offers a wide range of amenities, which includes the theatre, cinema, bowling alley and many shops.
At Brownrigg, we aim to provide a person-centred approach to all of our individual service users in regard to care, treatment, and welfare. The home cares for a maximum of six service users, at present, there are two females and four males. The home is committed to supporting service users as their lives progress. The home will regularly review its service specifications to support service users needs, wishes, and values. Service users will be consulted when any changes are to be made. Nursing care is not provided, if nursing care is required, we would access community resources or input from a district nurse.
