Cathy Meacham

Head of Commercial and Care Services

Cathy is responsible for overseeing the residential, supported living and new business operations and managing resources across the three divisions. She is highly qualified with several care-related qualifications and a BA in Applied Social and Community Studies.

Cathy joined Allied Care in 1997 as Registered Manager for their third care home, and has over 35 years of care experience. She has been managing the care division since 2001 and has helped the business grow from just three residential homes to 35 homes and 295 supported living placements.

Previous experience includes a Home’s Inspector, Deputy Manager, Peripatetic Senior Support Worker

Karen Jarritt

Head of People and Engagement

Karen joined Allied Care Ltd from the NHS in 1999 and has responsibility for the organisational functions that deal with the needs and activities of staff engaged by the business.

Karen’s focus is on recruitment at an Executive level, Terms and Conditions of employment, organisational development, performance management, policy recommendation and employee relations. Karen has over 30 years of Human Resource  experience within the Health and Social Care sector and previously worked as a Registered Nurse Manager at New Possibilities NHS Trust.

In addition to the HoPE role Karen is an established business mentor and coach collaborating with Managers to support their growth.

Geri Connelly

Head of Compliance

Geri has been with Allied Care since 2000 and is responsible for the organisation maintaining compliance with the current CQC and the Fundamental Standards alongside the Fire Safety Order and the Health and Safety at Work act 1974. This involves overseeing and coordinating quality assurance and health and safety of the residential and supported living divisions through regular audits, inspection, accident investigations, observations and monitoring the services.

Prior to heading up compliance, Geri worked as a Home and Area Manager within Allied Care. Geri previously spent four years as an auxiliary nurse across two nursing homes and holds several qualifications in Counselling, Health and Safety including the NEBOSH (National Examination Board of Safety and Health) and quality management. Geri is the designated person for safeguarding information processing and deals with GDPR enquiries and any potential data breaches.
